Legendary custom builder Bryan Fuller and I have worked together a few times over the years. He was one of the main fabricators on Xeno 3 when it was at SoCal Speed Shop in the late 90s. Since then Bryan has had an illustrious career and now runs his own shop in Atlanta. Bryan contacted me about helping him design a custom bike for collector Bobby Haas in the spring of 2017. The project was to be inspired by the famous french art deco motorcycle Majestic with the directive: ‘if Majestic was built in 2029, 100 years after its original production, what would it be like?’ We decided 3D printing would be a big part and I was tasked with creating all the parts to be printed in metal. This was an important project not only because it turned out beautifully but it also introduced me to Fusion 360, which has become my 3D tool of choice for vehicle concepts.
